Transept is involved in several aspects of the provision of Real Time Information, including maintaining the back-office timetable information and supporting the installation of on-bus and on-street equipment.

We keenly believe in the benefits of real time information; both for passengers, for whom it removes some uncertainty from the act of travelling, and for local authorities and operators, aiding in the pursuit of modal shift and efficient service provision.

Transept can provide an invaluable link between a local authority, bus operator, and equipment suppliers. We work to ensure mutual goals between all parties are identified and met.

Consultancy Advice & On-going Management
We have been providing consultancy advice on the planning, implementation and management of Real Time Information systems since 1999. In addition to support during the initial development of a scheme, we are also able to continue our involvement post-delivery, providing on-going data management and overseeing maintenance of the system.

Transept's experience includes:

• Development of strategies for the introduction of RTI systems;
• Development of Functional Specifications for proposed RTI systems, and contracts for their supply, installation and maintenance;
• Advice on the planning and implementation of pilot RTI systems;
• Management of integration issues in relation to other ITS systems;
