The character of Transept is underpinned by a desire for a sustainable future for transport, combining support for the economy with improvements of quality of life.

We endeavour to maintain a comprehensive understanding of travel behaviour and the socio-economic factors which influence it.

We are enthusiastic about the use of the latest technologies; to improve information flows about travel options, create flexibility of choice for the public and provide solutions which aid the pursuit of modal shift.

We aim to support sustainable environmental practice through our work, and combine this with our own company travel plan and re-cycling policies. We firmly believe in the ability of the transport industry to galvanise communities and enhance quality of life. Well planned transport provides access to schools and jobs, doctors and post offices, friends and relatives. It prevents isolation and encourages inclusion, helping to combat the inequalities within society.

Profitability

Underlying our values, we remain a commercial organisation, aiming for sustainable growth and seeking to return a profit on our annual turnover. The majority of our profits are reinvested in the company and our staff, but a share is set aside to fund local community and charitable projects.
