Community Transport

Transept has completed a number of Community Transport Reviews assessing the provision of, and support for, public and community transport. Each review identifies relevant transport policies (both existing and desirable) and recommends actions required to enable the most effective delivery of transport services.

As part of this line of work, we have facilitated a number of workshops bringing the providers of such services together to discuss common issues and consider specific priorities in delivering transport services to those who need it most. This work recognises that delivering transport that is capable of meeting all requirements is a complex and difficult task. Reviews of this nature assess whether the current provision in a particular area is being effectively delivered, and identify where it can be improved.

Quality Bus Corridors

Transept have project managed the roll-out of a number of Quality Bus Corridors, as well as taking a lead role on associated projects such as the implementation of on-street real time information or specific route branding.

Transept are able to advise and assist local authorities in the identification of applicable corridors, collecting information on patronage, congestion and demographic factors, as well as liaising with operators and interest groups to enable our clients to make an informed decision.

We offer support from the planning of a corridor through to the delivery of the recommended measures. With experience managing works programmes for at-stop improvements and bus priority measures, we seek to engage with outside contractors on our clients behalf, offering one point of contact as a guide through the entire process.
